51) V Bhalan Death : 28-07-2020 : The 47th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. AINRC General Secretary and former legislator V Bhalan. Bhalan (68) from Olandai keerapalayam, Mudaliarpet died of coronavirus at a private hospital here. He was admitted in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital on July 23. Five days later, he succumbed to COVID-19 at midnight at the hospital's ICU. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 pnemonia, diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease.

Samipillaithottam, Lawspet admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and
Research Institute (IGMCRI) on July 13, died last evening
(17-07-2020). He was a diabetic with Hypertension.
31) Gorimedu Man Death : 17-07-2020 : The 27th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A 76-year-old person
residing at Kamaraj Nagar, Gorimedu was admitted to the IGMCRI on July 5th
died last night (17-07-2020). He was a diabetic and hypertensive
patient.
30) Kavikuil Nagar Man Death : 18-07-2020 : The 26th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A 42-year-old hailing from
Kavikuil Nagar, who had no co-morbid conditions, also died at the medical
college. He was taken to the government general hospital last night
(17-07-2020) and was declared brought dead. He tested positive for the
virus.
29) Mudaliarpet Man Death : 17-07-2020 : The 25th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A 83 year old man from Olandai
Keerapalayam, Mudaliarpet was admitted at JIPMER hospital on 3rd July. On
4th July he was shifted to ICU and from 15th July he was on Ventilator
support. He died on 17th July 2020 morning he died. He suffered from
comorbidities like Chronic and High Blood Pressure died of
Coronavirus.
28) Ashramam Man Death : 16-07-2020 : The 24th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. Paolo Tommasi, 92, an Italian
architect-artist who helped design the Matrimandir, the sphere-shaped
centrepiece of Auroville, died of COVID-19, on Thursday. Paolo permanently
settled in Puducherry in 2010 and continued his artwork. His sketches and
paintings were displayed in various galleries around the world and
Auroville.He was admitted on 2nd July at JIPMER Hospital and was on
ventilator support from 15th July died on 16th July his condition worsened
but failed to survive.
27) Yanam woman Death : 16-07-2020 : The 23rd Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. a 72 year old woman from Yanam
who suffered from comorbidities like Diabetis and High Blood Pressure died
of Coronavirus. She was admitted at Kakkinada Hospital on 16th July, 2020.
Soon after her admission she died and later her samples were found Covid
Positive.
26) 9 Month Old Baby death : 15-07-2020 : The 22nd Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A nine-month old boy from
Muthialpet died of COVID-19 in Puducherry on Thursday. The child was
admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Women and Child hospital here with
complaints of diarrhea yesterday and tested positive for the virus and died.
25) Deaths at JIPMER : 15-07-2020 : The 21st Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory.A 75-year-old man from Moolakulam
was admitted to Jipmer on June 25 with Covid-19 symptoms. The patient with
complaints of lung septicaemia was shifted to intensive care unit on July 11
and was on ventilator before he died on July 15 around 5.30am.
24) Deaths at JIPMER : 15-07-2020 : The 20th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A 62-year-old woman from
Motilal Nagar, Lawspet a diabetic with high blood pressure and thyroid
gland disorders, had also suffered a heart attack. She was under medication
for cardiac ailments. She was shifted to intensive care unit of the
institute on June 29 and had been on ventilator support since July 12 before
she passed away at 6.30am on Wednesday.
23) Deaths at IGMCRI : 15-07-2020 : The 19th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A 76-year-old man
from Muthialpet was brought to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research
Institute with Covid-19 pneumonia symptoms on July 13. A diabetic with
complaints of high blood pressure and renal complications was admitted to
the intensive care unit of the institute. He died despite medical attention
on July 14 around 7.45pm
22) Rainbow Nagar Man death: 09-07-2020 : The 18th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A 74-year-old man hailing from
Rainbow Nagar died of the infection at the Indira Gandhi Government Medical
College hospital was admitted on July 9 evening with respiratory problems
and passed away a few hours later. The patient did not have any other
complications like diabetes or blood pressure.
21) Pondicherry University Man death: 09-07-2020 : Pondicherry University Staff member Ravi (58), a senior assistant at the
Public Relation wing of PU hailing from Vasanthapuram in Villupuram District
died on Thursday night at JIPMER Hospital. He tested Covid Positive on June
23. A diabetic with high blood pressure and obesity, the man did not
respond well to treatment. His condition deteriorated within two days, and
he was shifted to the intensive care unit of the institute. He was referred
to Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research
(Jipmer) for advanced treatment. He was on ventilator in Jipmer ICU until he
died. His wife, son and daughter, who also tested positive for Coronavirus
infection, are undergoing treatment in IGMC. He contracted the infection
from his son.
20) Karaikal women death: 09-07-2020 : The 17th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. 80+ years hailing from
Karaikal region died at the Karaikal GH hospital
19) Sulthanpet Man death: 08-07-2020 : The 16th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. 48 years hailing from
neighbouring Sultanpet village with co-morbidities died at the JIPMER
hospital
18) Karaikal Man Death : 08-07-2020 : The 15th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. 60 years hailing from
Karaikal with co-morbidities died at the Karaikal GH hospital
17) Krishna Nagar Man Death : 03-07-2020 : The 14th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A 53-year-old man with no
co-morbid conditions succumbed to COVID-19 at IGMCRI hospital. He was
admitted with high fever and shortness of breath on June 1. He is a chain
smoker, The man had respiratory trouble also although he had no other
complication such as diabetics and blood pressure. He tested positive for
infection. His conditioned worsened and he died on Friday.
16) Dharmapuri Women Death : 02-07-2020 : The 13th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A 93 year old female from
Dharmapuri died of the CoronaVirus at IGMCRI hospital. She was a chronic
kidney disease patient with Urinary tract infection which developed into
septicemia ultimately leading to Septic shock.
15) Pakkamudaiyanpet man Death : 29-06-2020 : The 12th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A patient from IGMCRI hospital
died of Coronavirus.
14) Gorimedu Police quarters man Death
: 27-06-2020 : The 11th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. A patient from JIPMER hospital
died of Coronavirus. He is a retired police constable of age 61 residing at
Gorimedu Police Quarters, succumbed to the virus at the JIPMER on Saturday
(27-06-2020), taking the death toll to 11 and the tally of infections to 648
in the Union Territory on Sunday
13) Muthialpet Women Death : 26-06-2020 : The 10th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. 82 age women from Muthialpet
died of Covid yesterday afternoon around 12 noon. She was admitted at IGMCRI
on 16th June 2020
12) Mudaliarpet Women Death : 22-06-2020 : The 9th Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. The 60-year-old woman from
Mudaliarpet who died was being treated at IGGGHPGI. After she tested positive
for the virus, she was shifted to the IGMCRI on Monday, where she died late
last evening.
11) Kirumampakkam Man Death : 21-06-2020 : The 8th Coronavirus death
was reported in the Union Territory. A 64-year-old man from neighbouring
Krimambakkam village died of the infection in JIPMER hospital on
Sunday. He had been under ventilator support for nearly a week
10) Vaithikuppam Man Death : 18-06-2020 : The 7th Coronavirus death
was reported in the Union Territory. One more death reported in IGMCRI
Puducherry. A 37 year old man from hailing from Vaithikuppam died of
Coronavirus disease in IGMC&RI Hospital Puducherry. He was a fruit
merchant in Puducherry Big Market. He is a known case of rheumatoid
arthritis and he is an immune suppressive patient presented with severe
pancytopenia.
9) Kadhirgamam Man Death : 18-06-2020 : The 6th Coronavirus death
was reported in the Union Territory. One more death reported in IGMCRI
Puducherry. A 52 year old man from hailing from Mohan Nagar, Kadhirgamam died
of Coronavirus disease in IGMC&RI Hospital Puducherry. The man with
diabetes and hypertension initially responded well to the treatment. He had
been hale and healthy until he complained of breathlessness at 4.30am on
18-06-2020 , his condition deteriorated and he died within an hour of
myocardial infarction.
8) VVP Nagar Man Death : 17-06-2020 : The
5th Coronavirus death
was reported in the Union Territory. One more death reported in JIPMER
Puducherry. A patient of age 80 hailing from VVP Nagar, Thattanchavady had
been dead due to CoronaVirus disease. The patient with renal complications,
who was the grandfather of a worker at the Laundry unit in JIPMER who tested
positive for Covid-19 earlier, did not respond well to the treatment and died
7) Chennai Man Death : 16-06-2020 : Second man from Chennai dies of COVID-19 in Puducherry. The
75-year-old man had come to Puducherry to attend the baby shower of his
daughter, residing on the JIPMER campus, along with his wife, son and
daughter-in-law. After he developed cardiac problems, he was taken to JIPMER
where he tested positive for COVID-19. He was subsequently shifted to the
JIPMER ICU, where he had been under treatment till his death. His last rites
were performed at the electric crematorium on Tuesday morning. Since he is a
Chennai resident, his dead was recorded in Tamil Nadu Account.
His wife who is also COVID-19 positive is receiving treatment in the ICU in
the same hospital.
6) Veeman Nagar Man Death : 13-06-2020 : The
4th Coronavirus death
was reported in the Union Territory on Saturday when an 56-year-old man
died in JIPMER hospital. The man is from Veeman Nagar died this afternoon. He
was a dialysis patient and was tested positive for COVID-19. He had been first
admitted at IGMCRI and then referred to the centrally administered facility in
JIPER on June 9 for dialysis as it did not have the facility
5) Mudaliarpet Man Death : 12-06-2020 : The 3rd Coronavirus death
was reported in the Union Territory on Thursday when an
82-year-old man died. The man from Police land area in Mudaliarpet was
admitted to the Government General Hospital (GGH) for treatment for other
diseases. He was tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday and was shifted to
Government Medical College. However, he succumbed to the disease.
4) Muthialpet Man Death : 11-06-2020 : The
2nd Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory on Wednesday night when an
82-year-old Octogenarian man died. The man from Muthialpet was admitted to the
Government General Hospital (GGH) for treatment for other diseases. He was
tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday and was shifted to Government Medical
College. However, he succumbed to the disease last night
3) Villupuram Man Death 09-06-2020 : The
1st Coronavirus death was reported in the Union Territory. An 80-year-old Octogenarian man died of
Coronairus pandemic at the Government General Hospital (GGH) here on Tuesday
night. He was a retired school teacher from Kandamangalam in Viluppuram
district of Tamil Nadu was staying in a temporary address at
Arumparthapuram here. He was admitted to the government general hospital on
June 4 for treatment for hypertension and diabetes.
2) Chennai Man Death Controversy 05-06-2020 : A 45-year-old man Jyothi Muthu hailing from Thousand Lights area in Chennai
died at Puducherry on Friday. According to police, he married a girl from
Villianur near Gopalam Kadai and his wife came to Puducherry to meet her
mother and was stranded because of the lockdown. Muthu after a long
time came to Puducherry two days back in a taxi to meet his wife and
suffered heart attack. On the way to hospital he died and an autopsy
disclosed that he was positive for the infection.
The death would be cross notified to Tamil Nadu since the man hailed from
Chennai and it would not reflect in Puducherry official data on virus cases
and fatalities.
1) Mahe Death controversy 07-04-2020 : The 71-year-old Mahe native was hospitalised in a very critical condition at
Pariyaram Medical College in Kannur district of Kerala on April 7 after he
tested positive for COVID-19 while undergoing treatment for respiratory
illness at a private hospital. He died at the hospital on April 11 and his
body was buried at a mosque near the medical college. Even 45 days after his
death neither Kerala nor Puducherry included his name in their lists of
persons who died of Covid.
